Spring/Summer Collection

One word is not enough to describe ‘Aequorea,’ the new collection of Valentina Kova. Her designs are eclectic yet elegant, modern and youthful. To sum it all up, her work is pure perfection.

Valentina was born in Russia, but studied fashion design in New York’s Parson’s School of Design, a prestigious institution that is just a few steps away from the Lomography NYC headquarters. After obtaining her diploma, she moved to Paris where she received her post-graduate degree.

Valentina’s entire new collection is handcrafted in New York. Her pieces are made from the finest materials and the use of pastel and bright colors, as well as the perfect combination of whites and blacks, are evident. Her new line is an incredibly rich palette that you can wear on the most elegant of occasions, during a night out in the city, a casual spring picnic at the park, or an afternoon at the beach.

The runway show was held at the Mondrian Soho Hotel, on a beautiful french rooftop where you can see all of New York. It was the perfect location to shoot with the Petzval lens once again.

The clothes, models, and the venue made this the best runaway show I’ve seen this year. These are probably the best photos I’ve shot during NY Fashion Week.
